It’s not anymore about the man Donald Trump, it’s not anymore about his team, it’s not anymore about his family, it’s now about the MAGA movement as a whole .
Donald Trump’s supporters are now in the FBI terrorist-investigation crosshairs, according to a new exclusive report in Newsweek.
“The federal government believes that the threat of violence and major civil disturbances around the 2024 U.S. presidential election is so great that it has quietly created a new category of extremists that it seeks to track and counter: Donald Trump’s army of MAGA followers.”
It dates the 2016 “witch hunt” that targeted Donald Trump and his entire team of campaign advisors to delegitimize his Presidency. The investigation carried by Robert Mueller couldn’t substantiate the allegations of Russian interference in Donald Trump’s presidential election, and couldn’t prove the made up “collusion” between Trump advisors and the Kremlin.
Later on 2023 , Special counsel John Durham, who investigated potential government wrongdoing in the early days of the Trump-Russia probe, came to the final conclusion that the entire Russia investigation had no legal grounds to be initiated in first place. Not to mention the multiple indictments and arrests for the “Jan 6 protest”, an event that have been widely weaponized to build up the image of Trump supporters as “terrorists”. The legal notion of terrorism has been widely disabused and misinterpreted to fit into that notion peaceful protesters who didn’t partecipate to any violent action.
Besides the controverted events of Jan 6, the political targeting and the weaponization of the federal government and department of justice to a political end, has now escalated to an overt persecutions of Trump movement resulting ultimately into discrimination based on political belief and censorship.
Targeting people based on their political believes, censoring their voices and ultimately discriminating the freedom to expression is the ultimate degrade of a democracy.
The “threat” is now bigger than one man, it is now an entire movement and it’s called “MAGA”.
